Falling figures

There is a set of six of these Falling Figures altogether all based on various stages of collapse (or release), some of which quote works by other artists and other media. Falling Figure 02 – after Madmen, an unglazed terracotta figure about 12cm in length encrusted with embossed forms.

Falling Figure 01 – Operatic, an unglazed terracotta figure about 10cm in length covered in a texture created by pressing small pieces of clay onto the body with a shaped tool e.g. the end of a ball point pen lid or a screw head.
