The main ceramic elements in this installation consist of two forms, an organic one and a more geometric one. The glazing is expressionistic with three oxide rich glazes and slips overlapping to create dark and metallic areas in a free flowing, barely controlled way.

The individual sculptures are either free hanging or fit onto part of the room in which they are installed, one element fixes to a recycled up-ended cupboard unit deployed as both plinth and three dimensional frame.
Another sits on the floor and fixed onto the skirting board. The one above is suspended from two other units near the ceiling.

I have recorded and dramatised the work in three ways, ‘documentary’ photographs, fictionalised (blurred) flash photographs and video. Through these recording methods the work has taken on a new role as a subject. The actual work has now been dismantled but it has left a trail of visual media which re-creates the real event and makes into something new and different. It is as if the work has grown its own crust of mythology.
